Wild Oats XI under spinnaker on Hobart's Derwent River near the end of its 2006 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Crossing Hobart's Castray Esplanade finish line at 9.52pm, Wild Oats XI had successfully taken out back to back line honours with the previous year's result. A new section covering the Volvo Ocean Race 2008 - 2009 has been launched on the Outimage website and can be accessed from the link above.

Regular viewers of this page will also notice some changes. Basically you can now find links to each year of an annual event (such as the Rolex Sydney Hobart) in one location. This obviously will enhance a viewer's ability to quickly navigate through the ever increasing mass of information, that is becoming available on this website of offshore yacht racing within Australian waters.

When I get a free moment, I often go back to early archived material to add more articles and photos to earlier sections of the website. Unless you go looking, you may not notice this additional material being published. But with the new arrangement of links mentioned above, users such as journalists or enthusiasts researching the sport will be able to quickly check for new material of earlier events covered. For that reason, this website is increasingly becoming a valuable photographic and editorial resource for research into all the events that have been covered.
