New pages of photos from
Carlo Borlenghi and Stefano Gattini have been uploaded. Carlo has
provided shots of Alinghi training in Valencia, while Stefano has
provided shots of the Farr 40's at Key West 2010. There has been
a dignificant structural change of the locations of folders containing
all of Carlo and Stefano's work, so if you have any bookmarks or
links to any of the old pages, you will need to update them. The
old folder structure will remain on the server for another couple
of weeks (to provide additional time for those who need to update),
but without the old index page. A visit
to Carlo's website at www.carloborlenghi.com is
also highly recommended.
More articles of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2009 will be
added as additional photos to the Online
Photo Gallery.
The challenging finish for Krakatoa II, Nips-N-Tux
and a couple of other boats on Wednesday night, the
30th of December will be the subject of an article
that is currently being put together at the moment,
titled "Tthe Dificulties of the Derwent". The missing in-between articles covering the Hobart
will also be uploaded over the next few weeks. They will
be easily identified by the word "NEW"
in bright yellow, which will appear next to each article's link
at the bottom of the index page. |

Wild Oats XI under spinnaker on
Hobart's Derwent River near the end of its 2006 Rolex Sydney
to Hobart Yacht Race. Crossing Hobart's Castray Esplanade
finish line at 9.52pm, Wild Oats XI had successfully
taken out back to back line honours with the previous year's
result. Considering the available light at that time of
night and a bumpy Derwent River boat ride, what do you
think are the odds are of getting a shot like this?
