Fires and floods, it would be difficult
to find an Australian who has not been touched at some
level by the impact of these recent events. After a record
breaking appeal, the Red Cross would like to thank the
everyone who have contributed to the biggest fundraising
appeal of its kind in Australia. The appeal has now
been closed. For for further information, please visit

Those
participating in the Audi Winter Series would be well aware
of how large the actual fleet is from week to week. With
the amount of photos taken also quite large, new shots
will be added to the gallery whenever time allows. As I
wrote in a recent reply to one of the many email queries
I'm getting about the Winter Series, my primary focus for
now is to just capture the shots and provide the required
basic media coverage. As I have to fit all of this in with
a number of other commitments, I'll sort out, catalogue
and publish the remaining bulk as soon as I can allocate
the time. This will most likely be after the series is
over, so bookmark the Audi Winter Series 2009 index
page (accessed from the graphical link below) for direct
access to the individual weekly galleries. I apologise
for not been able to provide something a bit quicker. But
with a rough idea of what I have already taken and considering
that there are still a couple of races to go, the wait
will be worth while.
Carlo Borlenghi has been sending more photos from various events overseas and hopefully, I'll get some his coverage up on the website soon. Keep an eye out for any new links to Carlo and Stefano's work as they will apper on this site. A visit to Carlo's website at www.carloborlenghi.com is also highly recommended.

Looking at the dates at the top of the page, it appears that this website has reached another milestone. It was 8 years ago that this site was first published, not only as a reference point for my own work as a photographer, but also to provide platform of ongoing experience in web publishing.
In 2001 after completing a communications degree, the experience gained from this site for myself was critical. It was a time when despite achieving the best marks one would hope to get from academic study, opportunities within the Australian media and in particular, anything related to web publishing just did not seem to exist for someone over 30 and lacking many years of previous experience within their CV.
Eight years on, the site has evolved into quite a bit of a different beast altogether, from that of an online CV. In 2005, the site was opened up to provide a channel of opportunity for a limited number of other like-minded freelance journalists, photographers and artists; looking to combine their knowledge and skill to extend their web presence and enhance their own level of online publishing experience.
What is now an online collaboration, this site will continue down this path of providing the same opportunities it has provided me over the last 8 years, to others worthy to receive such support. And in the process, it will also continue to provide access to quality photographic and other editorial coverage of various events as it has done in the past. There will also be some new genres appearing within the site’s production cycle, hopefully not too far into the future.
At the end of 2007, the photo lab that had provided Outimage with access to an online facility for clients to purchase prints had unfortunately closed it down. Since then, what was the original Outimage Online Sales Gallery established in 2006 was suspended.
With a considerably small demand for purchasing prints when it was available
and having assessed the cost of similar off-the-shelf programs provided by internet
development companies and various banks, it is currently not economically feasible
to purchase one of these programs to replace the old sales gallery. However, a new business relationship with a new photo processing lab has been established and ad-hoc purchases can be fulfilled.
As for the rest of the website, it will be business as usual with new features and articles as they become available for publication within what s this editorial section of the website. The photo gallery for visitors who just view the photos will also continue to grow. As local events are covered, the gallery is usually the first place on the entire website where any new photos will appear, ahead of any editorial coverage.
Future plans also include publishing further unpublished material within the existing Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race coverage for previous years and will include unpublished photographs and press releases provided by the Rolex Media Team. In time, more pages will also be added to extend current coverage of the Rolex Trophy One Design and Ratings Series, for all previous years covered.
